Fabian Mott grew up in Livingston, Tennessee, and moved to Oak Ridge in 1982, where he began his career in funeral service at Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home. He has proudly served as a funeral director in Anderson County for over 40 years, offering compassionate care and guidance to families during some of life’s most difficult moments.
Fabian is a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church in Oak Ridge and is deeply rooted in his faith and community. He finds great joy in spending time with his wife, Lisa, and their grandchildren. Family is at the center of everything he does—both in his personal life and in the way he serves others through his work.
As part of the team at Mott-McKamey Funeral Home, Fabian is honored to continue his lifelong commitment to the families of Oak Ridge and the greater Anderson County area.
Madison is originally from Clinton, Tennessee, and has dedicated his career to serving families with compassion and professionalism. He studied Business Management at Bryan College, where he also played collegiate basketball, before graduating from John A. Gupton College of Mortuary Science. He became a licensed funeral director and embalmer in 2020.
Madison is a proud member of Tennessee Lodge #204 F&AM and is committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity and care in the funeral profession. He has a genuine love for the families he serves and takes great pride in helping guide them through some of life’s most difficult moments.
He is married to his wife, Payton, and together they are excited to welcome their first child in July. Madison is honored to serve the families of this community and grateful for the trust placed in him each day.
Matthew Mott is the son of Fabian and Lisa Mott and has been surrounded by the funeral profession his entire life. Growing up in Oak Ridge, he developed a deep respect for the families his father served and the importance of compassionate care during times of loss.
A proud veteran, Matthew served four years in the United States Marine Corps, including a tour in Afghanistan. After completing his military service, he attended John A. Gupton College of Mortuary Science, becoming a licensed funeral director and embalmer and beginning his professional career in 2013.
Matthew is a member of Tennessee Lodge #204 F&AM and remains committed to serving with integrity, excellence, and attention to detail. He is married to Shannon Mott, and together they are raising their three children—Benny, Jett, and Jules—with the same values of family and service that guide his work every day.
As co-owner of Mott-McKamey Funeral Home, Matthew is honored to continue his family's legacy and serve the families of Anderson County with professionalism, compassion, and personalized care.
Originally from Rochester, New York, she moved to East Tennessee after meeting Matthew during his service in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Shannon plays an active role in the family business and is committed to ensuring every family is treated with care, respect, and compassion. She and Matthew have three children—Benny, Jett, and Jules.
In 1982, Lisa Janney was a young florist in Oak Ridge, delivering flowers with a touch of nervousness as she entered the local funeral home. On one of those early deliveries, she was met at the door—startled, perhaps intentionally—by a young funeral director named Fabian Mott. That moment sparked the beginning of a lifelong journey, both personal and professional.
Now, over 40 years later, Lisa and Fabian are the proud co-owners of Mott-McKamey Funeral Home and Cremations. Lisa spent 43 years as a respected florist in the Oak Ridge community and was the founder and owner of Mott’s Floral Design, a business known for its beauty, creativity, and care. After many years of serving families through flowers, Lisa has since sold the shop and entered retirement.
Today, Lisa enjoys spending her time with her grandchildren, supporting her family, and continuing to be a quiet but steady presence behind the scenes at the funeral home. Her lifelong dedication to service, family, and the Oak Ridge community continues to be a meaningful part of the Mott-McKamey legacy.
Benny plans on being a part time funeral director and full time MLB player when he grows up.
