Dr. Vincent “Vince” Joseph Jodoin, of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on August 8, 2024. Born July 3, 1963, in Leominster, Massachusetts to Joseph Jean Louis Jodoin and Carole Phyllis Ayles. He was a Distinguished R&D Staff in the Incident Modeling & Computational Sciences Group in the Nuclear Nonproliferation Division at the Oak Ridge National Lab, preparing for retirement in 2025. In 2005, he retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service. He dedicated his life to family, faith, and his works. Vincent was a quick-witted, passionate genealogist, beloved “Pepper”, lover of fall foliage, Diet Coke connoisseur, and a New England Sports fan. He is survived by his five children: Jenna Jodoin, Danielle Jodoin and her partner Daniel, Christina Holland (Jodoin) and her husband Mark, Vincent Jodoin Jr. and his wife Hannah, Sophia Jodoin, and their mother Carol Jodoin (Pagano), as well as his 3 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father, Joseph Jean Louis Jodoin.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at City Church 522 Sevier Avenue Knoxville, TN, 37920 at 2 pm followed by visitation from 3-5 pm. His burial will be held Monday, August 19, 2024, at 10:00 am at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. In place of flowers, the family requests donations be made through the link to The National Genealogical Society, one of Vincent’s passions.
