Steven Wiley

Steven Wade Wiley, born in Sacramento, California on December 7, 1952, is resting sweetly in the arms of his Heavenly Father, whom he dispatched to bring home on April 1, 2021. He labored his earthly body with patience and endurance as a good soldier until his work on this earth was completed. He accepted Jesus as his lord and savior at an early age, and he will be remembered as a Christian whose faith never wavered in the face of adversity. Steve was a devoted, loving, and caring husband, father, brother, and friend who always made time to help anyone in need no matter where, when, or how far away. He retired from the Y12 Legal Department after 24 years of service, and received Master's degrees from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, CA in Marine Biology and Environmental Management. Steven's final wishes were to be cremated.
Steven Wiley was preceded in death by his parents Christevell and Zebedee Wiley, mother and father in law Mary and Billy Simmons, and stepson Tavellis Brock. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Diana Wiley, daughter Erin Wiley (Jason Crumpler) of Wilmington, NC, son Robert Wiley (Dan Huebner) of Greensboro, NC; stepson Rolpheal Radcliffe of Knoxville, TN; daughter Brooklynn Wiley of Oak Ridge, TN; sister and brother in law Dawn (Julian) Melendres of Antioch, CA; brother Paul Wiley (Cornelia Flannery) of San Francisco, CA; sister Lisa Wiley (Helen Tom) of Millbrae, CA; nieces Amber Jackson-Cole, Winona Wiley, Olivia Wiley, and Cara Nguyen of CA; nephews Jordan Wiley and Kyle Nguyen of CA; grandchildren Addyson Beams, Tavellis Brock II, Que-Vellis Farmer. Zae Booker and Malayzia Jackson of TN, and Theodora Crumpler of NC; special friends Dave Ernst of New York, NY, Ron Evans of Knoxville, TN Tim Joseph of Rockwood, TN and John Zisman of Oak Ridge, TN. Services will be held on Saturday, April 10th, 2021, at Martin Funeral Home in Oak Ridge, TN. Receiving of friends will be from 12:00pm to 1:00 pm, with Celebration of Life services beginning at 1:00 p.m. In Accordance with COVIDs safety protocols. we ask that everyone wear a mask, sanitize their hands, and practice social distancing.
Steven passed away April 01, 2021 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. Visitation with the family will be Saturday April 10,2021 at noon until 1:00 p.m. with a celebration of life at 1:00 pm. Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements.
