Shirley Goodman

Shirley Imogene Goodman 73 of Oliver Springs passed away August 15, 2016 at Tennova Residential Hospice in Knoxville TN. She was born March 17, 1943 in Sweetwater TN to Ruth Edmonds and Robert Goodman. Shirley retired from Oak Ridge Surgeons after 34 years of service as a medical secretary. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Gary Russell and sister Fluttie Blackstock. She is survived by her son Derek Goodman and wife Michele, granddaughters Sydney Goodman and Kendal Goodman. Also survived by her sister Sheila Ward. Cousins include Wilma Edwards, Pat Evans, Carolyn Veirup and many nieces and nephews Her hobbies were many including live music, painting, the beach and her grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Thursday August 18, 2016 at Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home starting at 5:00 pm with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 pm with the Rev. Clarence Byrd officiating. Interment will be 10:00 am Friday August 19, 2016 at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
