Shayla Haese

Shayla Denise Haese (31) went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 19, 2019. She died peacefully at MMC with her closest loved ones by her side. Shayla was born in Oak Ridge on September 14, 1987. She attended Oak Ridge High school and received her GED in 2005. Shayla and her mother were baptized together as members of Grace Lutheran Church in Oak Ridge in 2000. She was preceded in death by her father Greg C. Haese (Oak Ridge), grandparents Ron and Jane Haese (Oak Ridge) and Herbert Barnard (Kingston). She is survived by her mother and stepfather, LaDonna and Harry Meyer (Oak Ridge); daughters Lana Michelle Haese and Lyla Haese Royster (Oak Ridge); fiancee Brad Royster (Oak Ridge); grandmother Theola Barnard (Kingston); uncles and aunts Kenny and Anna Haese (Knoxville), Tommy Barnard (Kingston) and Debbie Wallace (Charleston, SC); and cousins Brittany Haese (Knoxville), Cody Barnard (Kingston) and Tommy Wallace (New York, NY). The family will receive friends at Grace Lutheran Church from 4-5:00 pm on Thursday, April 25, followed by a funeral service at 5:00 pm. Expressions of love in lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Shayla's honor to the Grace Lutheran Church Food Pantry.
