Sean Conway

Yes Sean Christian Conway, 48 made the transition to glory on Friday, September 22nd, 2017. He was born in Renton, WA March 24, 1969 to parents, James P. Conway and Carrie Ann Conway. He lived in Seattle and moved to Kent, WA where he attended school and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and went to the National Boy Scout Jamboree in Virginia. He graduated from Washington State University. Sean married Jennifer Ann Plummer a year after graduation on May 7, 1994. He began his working career at a tent and awning manufacturer in the Seattle, WA area.
He was involved with his church and moved to California and then Maryland to serve the Lord. Sean and Jennifer then moved to Maryland to continue their service to God. Once again they moved, this time to Tennessee where they currently lived and continued their mission of serving others. Sean was employed by Volunteers of America Mid States and worked as the Assistant Community Administrator at Candleridge Plaza Apartments in Powell, TN.
He enjoyed hunting, trapping and fishing and creating stained and blown glass artwork and lapidary. He was a Jack of All Trades and could figure anything out laid before him. Sean and Jennifer shared and enjoyed a life of ministry and service to others in each community they lived in across the country. They enjoyed travelling to the ocean and exploring new places. Sean was a member of Calvary Lighthouse United Pentecostal Church in Oak Ridge. He had great faith and a love for the Word of God.
Sean was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ed and Commie Conway, Dr. John R. F. Richardson; step-father, Vaughn Witzel; uncles, Tom Conway, Mike Conway; cousins, Andy Larson, Mark Axtman. Survivors include his wife Jennifer Conway of Oak Ridge; mother, Carrie Ann Witzel of Ellensburg, WA/Quartzite, AZ; father and step mother James and Pat Conway of Sequim, WA; grandmother, Daphne Richardson of Ellensburg, WA; in laws Ken and Carol Plummer of Oak Ridge; brother and sister in law Gregg and Jeanette Plummer of McCleary, WA; his three nieces Hannah, Sarah and Leah and his nephew Jeremey Plummer that brought him great joy; his friend Alan Mervine of Seattle, WA who was like a brother; his step sisters and brothers and their families; many aunts, uncles, cousins; and many friends and church family here in East Tennessee and throughout the country. Sean was loved and respected by all who knew him.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 28th from 5-7 pm at Martin Funeral Home of Oak Ridge. Burial will be at 11 am on Friday, September 29th at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. A worship and memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 1st beginning at 1 pm at Calvary Lighthouse Church located at 110 Atlanta Rd, Oak Ridge. Flowers are welcome and donations can be made in memory of Sean to Children's Hospital of Knoxville, TN.
