Rose Obituary

Rose Marie Smiddy, age 92, Of Oak Ridge, was called home to our Lord Saturday February 25, 2012 at Oak Ridge Methodist Medical Center.
She was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Oak Ridge, and avid bingo player and sports enthusiast, but her favorites were the Atlanta Braves and Minnesota Vikings. She was a United States Army World War II veteran and is preceded in death by her husband Q. V. Smiddy, parents Eli and Helen Pintar, and siblings Helen, Betty, Katherine, Mary Ellen, Anne, Bella, and Danny.
She is survived by her daughter Priscilla Richey, son Quinton Smiddy, Jr. and his wife Tammy; granddaughters Cyndi Reed and her husband Steve, Jodie Rosenbaum and her husband Claude, Amanda Farmer and her husband Eric, grandsons Adam Hatcher and wife Faith and Zachary Smiddy; 7 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
A funeral mass will be held Wednesday February 29, 2012 12:00pm at St. Mary's Catholic Church with interment to follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens with full military honors. The family will receive friends Tuesday February 28, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00pmat Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Adam Hatcher, Zachary Smiddy, Eric Farmer, Thomas Rosenbaum, Christopher Rosenbaum, and Robert Rosenbaum.
