Robert C. Lushbaugh, age 62, of Oak Ridge passed away Saturday February 25, 2012.
Robert was born March 4, 1949 in Chicago, IL to the late Clarence and Mary Helen Lushbaugh. He was a graduate of Oak Ridge High School and the University of Florida. After 28 years of working for the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, he retired in 2007.
In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his wife Karen and his stepmother Dorothy Bess. He is survived by his son Jeff Lushbaugh and his wife Maria of New Jersey, daughters Sarah Crawford and her husband Brandon of Illinois and Kimberly Lushbaugh of Louisiana, brother Bill Lushbaugh and his wife Janet of Mississippi, sister Nancy Forbes and her husband Gene of Knoxville, and grandchildren Ryan, Kara, Olivia, and Justin.
Robert's family is honoring his wishes with a private service. In Lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be sent to the American Heart Association, 4708 Papermill Drive, Knoxville, TN 37909.
