Patricia Ann Bonney Dunlap Hartman, 83, of Oak Ridge, Tennessee passed away peacefully at home on May 20, 2022, from congestive heart failure.
Pat was born on October 29, 1938, in McComb, Mississippi and moved to Oak Ridge in 1943. She is survived by daughter Denise Leslie Dunlap Billings and her husband Tom of Oak Ridge, son Cleon Smith Hartman II and his wife Heather of Oak Ridge; granddaughter April Denise Hartman Wolford and her husband Brad of Strawberry Plains, grandsons Tanner Ross Hartman and Reid Austin Hartman both of Nashville, grandson Mitchell Harrison Gibbons of Oak Ridge, and two great-grandchildren James Calvin Wolford III and Ava Lucille Wolford.
She was preceded in death by husbands Joel Leslie Dunlap and Cleon Smith Hartman, parents Willie Hester Bonney and Gladys Clote Smith Bonney, sister Evelyn Louise Bonney Hedgecoth, brother-in-law Chester Lawrence Hedgecoth, and niece Leslie Ann Hedgecoth.
Pat was a 1956 graduate of Oak Ridge High School where she served as senior class treasurer, cheerleader, prom queen, and a member of The Penguin Social Club.
She worked at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Y-12, Tindell’s Building Materials, Oak Ridge Downtown Management, K-25, and Jewelry Television and was voted Miss Oak Ridge National Laboratory in 1958. Pat was a charter member of the Oak Ridge Quarterback Club, chairman of Oak Ridge’s Homecoming ’86 Celebration committee, and a member of Oak Ridge Women’s Club, Jaycettes, and the ’43 Club. She was christened into the Episcopal Church in McComb, Mississippi and attended St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Oak Ridge throughout her life.
The family would like to thank Caris Hospice, especially Amber, Leann, and Amanda, and caregivers Jennifer Perkins, Amy Green, and Faith Goddard Willenborg.
Funeral services will be held at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Oak Ridge on Thursday, June 16 at 2 pm followed by a reception for friends and family.
