Myrin Obituary

Myrin Lundin "Mike", age 90, of Oak Ridge passed away Wednesday June 11, 2014 at in Nashville, Tennessee.
Mr. Lundin was born October 9, 1923 in New York City, New York and was a graduate of David Clinton High School in the Bronx, New York. He received his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from City College of New York in 1943 and moved to Oak Ridge in 1944 and started working with Oak Ridge Gaseous Diffusion Plant. During Mr. Lundin's career here received many promotions and awards and was last working as a Senior Staff Consultant to the Director of Engineering. Mr. Lundin was a member of the Jewish Congregation of Oak Ridge, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, he was the founder of the Oak Ridge Group in 1947, Tennessee Society of Professional Engineers, National Society of Professional Engineers, Tennessee Joint Engineering Action Group, State of Tennessee Registered Engineer, Oak Ridge Board of Zoning Appeals (1963-1986), City of Oak Ride Mayor's Land Use Advisory Committee, and the Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce Industry Recruiting Committee (1985=1986).
Preceded in death by his wife Naomi Lundin Mr. Lundin is survived by his children Madelyn Lundin and Keith Lundin, grandchildren Scott Silverman, Jessica Lundin Prest, Ben Lundin, and R.A. Hurley, and great grandchildren Lucas Silverman and Sydney Silverman.
A funeral service will be held Friday June 13, 2:00pm in the chapel of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with Rabbi Victor Rashkovsky officiating. Interment will follow at Beth El Cemetery.
