Mildred Ruth Bittle

Mildred Ruth Bittle, age 74, of Oak Ridge passed away on February 3, 2023.

Mildred was a mother that worked two jobs to support her children while they were young and then did the same by choice when they grew up. She worked at Karns High School and drove bus 27 for Knox County for over 30 years. Mildred was the sweetest person you would know, if a child at school didn't have lunch money, she provided it for them. She had several school kids call her mom besides her sons that went to the same school. Karns knew her as Mildred and Hardin Valley knew her as 'Pug'.

She is preceded in death by her son Charles 'Chuckie' Lee Duncan Jr., and her parents.

Mildred is survived by her son James 'Jamie' Melton Duncan and fiancé Christina Bowers, and brothers; Jimmy Henry and C.E. Henry.
