Mary Louise Williams, 93, passed peacefully from this world into the welcoming arms of our Lord on Sunday, April 3rd, 2017 at The Waterford assisted living apartments in Smyrna, TN
Born as Mary Louise Wyrick on March 12, 1924 to Turley Bailey and Gertrude Wyrick, she graduated Rush Strong High School and soon afterwards married her high school sweetheart Charles Ralph Williams. After her husband's discharge during WWII, she left her accounting position at the Y-12 complex to start a family. Louise was very active in First United Methodist Church in Oak Ridge as a children's teacher and with the circle service groups. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping at the lake and especially fishing. She was an accomplished seamstress and excelled at clothing alterations of which many Oak Ridgers utilized.
Louise is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ralph Williams, her son, Danny Charles Williams, 10 siblings - Hugh, Carrie, Joseph, Herman, James Arlie, Etta, William (Red), Anna Lee, Thomas Ray, and her identical twin, Martha Fay.
Survivors include her sister Betty (AC) Cook of Strawberry Plains, TN; Daughter Sonya Morgan , Daughter in law Carolyn Williams, Grandsons Danny Charles Williams Jr; John Williams and wife Cinnamon; three Great Grandchildren Melanie Williams, Lynn Williams, Gunnar Williams and a Great Great Grandson Shepard Mason Peterson.
Visitation is at Martins Funeral Home, 1017 Oak Ridge Turnpike on Friday April 7th, 2017 from Noon until 2pm with services immediately following.
