Mary Scarbrough Pickard, age 64, of Oak Ridge passed away Tuesday March 29, 2011 at Hillcrest Healthcare North.
Mary was born January 2, 1947 to the late Douglas and Ina Henry Scarbrough in Monterey, Tennessee. Mary owned and operated her on business, Pickard's Alterations in Jackson Square's Greenwich Village, for many years. She was a lover of all the fine arts and an artist herself, but spending time with her family that she loved with all of her heart gave her the most joy. Mary was a member of the Elverton Primitive Baptist Church in Harriman.
Preceded in death by her daughter Marsha Pickard Davis, her sister Ina Aline Combs, and her brother Carl E. Scarbrough, Mary is survived by her daughter Candace Pickard of Oak Ridge, sons Michael Pickard of Oak Ridge and Donald Pickard and his wife Connie of Harriman, brother Roy D. Scarbrough of Oliver Springs, sisters Janie Fox of Oak Ridge, Donna Hawley and her husband Mark of Knoxville, and Georgia Black and her husband David of Hampton, GA, grandchildren Reagan Davis, Cameron Davis, and Autumn Hammons, many nieces and nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:00pm on Saturday April 2, 2011 at Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with Memorial Service following.
