Mary Dabbs

Mary Sue Dabbs 84 of Oak Ridge is in the care of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home. Mary passed away July 1, 2017 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. She was born July 12, 1932 in Siler City North Carolina to Ruby Taft Sizemore and Katie Louise Brooks Sizemore.
Mary received a B.A. degree in nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge for more than 35 years until her retirement in 1994, and was a longtime member of 1st United Methodist Church in Oak Ridge. Besides her work she also enjoyed trading, collecting, knitting and travel.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Ruby Taft Sizemore and Katie Louise Sizemore, husband: Patrick C. Dabbs II She is survived by her son David Dabbs and wife Donna and their son Colten and daughter Haley. Daughter: Dianne McClanahan her daughter Ashley McClanahan and son Issac. Grandson: Colin McClanahan (Tabitha Price) and daughter Maxine. Grandson: Cory McClanahan (Leah Nickleson) and son Dakota.
Visitation with the family will be from 5-7 pm Thursday July 6, 2017 at Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 7pm with Rev. Stella Roberts officiating. Interment will be 11:00 am Friday July 7, 2017 at Oak Ridge Memorial Park
