Marion Obituary

Marion "Pete" B. Scott, 65, passed away may 21st. He was born in South Williamson, KY to the late Lloyd D. and surviving Selba Young Scott. He was a graduate from the University of TN in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science and Engineering. He worked for many years at Y-12/UT Battelle specializing in HVAC mechanical engineering. Pete enjoyed fishing, playing pool and karaoke with friends. He was very active with the local Fraternal order of Eagles, Atomic City Aerie 2514 serving as Treasurer. He attended Karns Church of Christ. He is survived by his daughter, Whitney Miller and husband Matt and son, Jonathan Scott and wife Shayna and 3 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Beth Scott, Knoxville, TN and Sue Nilsen, Spartanburg, SC; mother, Selba Scott, Spartanburg, SC. He is preceded in death by the late Lloyd D. Scott. Graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 27th 11am at Anderson Memorial Gardens, Clinton TN. In lieu of flowers, family has requested donation be made to Karns Church of Christ Benevolence Fund 6612 Beaver Ridge Rd. Knoxville, TN 37931.
