Linda Smith

Linda Turner Smith age 70 of Oak Ridge Tennessee is in the care of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home. Linda passed away May 1, 2017 at her home in Oak Ridge. She was born July 7, 1946 in Clinton, Tennessee to Earl "Sie "and Helen Hill Turner. She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband Billy Burgess who was the father of her children, second husband Jim Smith, sisters; Carol Melton, Mildred Bennett and Gail Cheatwood Crowley.
Linda is survived by her daughter Christy Burgess Neal, and son-in-law Brian Neal and granddaughter Brandy Neal whom she lived with and took great care of her. Also daughter Denise Shaw (Mike) and their children; Tiffany, Lauren and Michael. And one brother Jimmy Turner. She also leaves to cherish her nieces and nephews. Sonya Franklin who she considered a daughter to her and Cody Franklin a grandson to her.
She was loved by all who know her. The family wishes to thank Amedisys Hospice Care and their team RN; Michelle Muncey, Social worker; Chad Carlson, Chaplain; James Dunn and CNA; Ashley Pruitt for the excellent care she received during her last days with us.
Visitation with the family will be from 5-7pm Friday May 5, 2017 at Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life service at 7pm.
