Kelli Farquharson

Kelli Neil Farquharson, age 57, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 30, 2018, at her home in Clinton. She was born July 12, 1960, in Concord, CA, the daughter of Richard and Peggy Neil. When Mr. Neil retired from the U.S. Navy in 1970, he moved his family to Lenoir City, TN. After graduating from Lenoir City High School in 1979, Kelli attended the University of Tennessee. Kelli and John began dating in 1981 and were married at First Christian Church in Oak Ridge, TN, on September 3, 1983. Kelli received her BS in Nutrition from UT in 1985 and was employed at Methodist Medical Center as a dietician. Kelli was an avid reader and in their early years of marriage, she taught aerobics and enjoyed bicycling and hiking with her husband, John, and their friends. Later years brought the couple a love of traveling in their RV, hitting the road with her cherished dogs, Rose and Daisy. Kelli relished the mountains, lake, and beach life with her beloved husband, John. Her infectious laugh and kind heart will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
​Kelli is preceded in death by her father and mother, Richard and Peggy Neil, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Lois Farquharson, and her sister-in-law, Carol Farquharson.
​Kelli will be dearly missed by her husband of 34 years, John Farquharson of Clinton, TN; her brother, Richard Neil of Clinton, TN; her step-mother, Faye Neil of Tullahoma, TN; her sister and brother- in-law, Jo Ann and David King of Oak Ridge, TN; her brother-in-law, George Farquharson of Knoxville, TN; her nephew, Micah Neil of Lenoir City, TN; her niece, Elisha Neil of Cincinnati, OH; her niece, Lee Ann Shelton of Oak Ridge, TN; her niece, Amy and husband, Jay Ammons of Oak Ridge, TN; her niece, Courtney Farquharson of Johnson City, TN; her nephew, Nathan and wife, Ashlie Farquharson of Knoxville, TN; and several great-nieces and nephews.
​John will host a gathering of friends and family to celebrate Kelli's life at their home on May 19th, 2018, from 2-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to SARG at www.shelteranimalsrescue.org .
