Johnnie Lanning

Johnnie Lou Rosenbaum Lanning age 79 passed away on October 27, 2017 at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee. She lived in Kingston, TN but most of her life in Oak Ridge, TN. Johnnie graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1956. She worked as hotel manager at the Ridge Inn Motel where she retired. Her parents E.W. Rosenbaum and Ruby Nell Parkey Rosenbaum came here in 1938 from Rose Hill, Virginia to work for Union Carbide. She is survived by her daughters; Michelle R. Turpin and Lisa L. Williamson. Granddaughters; Sherry D. Baker and Karie S. Seay. Great grandchildren; Megan H. Baker, Cameron S. Baker, Destiny j. Turpin and Ethan M. Seay. The family thanks all of the special friends and extended family members for all their prayers. Special thanks to all the nurses at Fort Sanders Comfort Care for the compassion and care given during her stay. She loved life and had many great friends; she never met a stranger. The family will have a private celebration of life in her honor. They ask in lieu of flowers to send donations to the Pat Head Summit Foundation.
