Joan Gibson Sensabaugh, age 83, died Sunday, April 6, 2014, from complications of pneumonia.
Joan grew up in Detroit, Michigan, then lived for many years in Satellite Beach, Florida, before moving to Tennessee. Her heart was in children's ministry -- working in Sunday schools, Good News Clubs, and Christian summer camps. She had the gift of hospitality. Many have enjoyed pleasant meals, good fellowship, and a comfortable bed in her home.
Joan leaves her devoted husband of nearly thirteen years, Randall Sensabaugh. She also leaves one sister, four children and their spouses, nine grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband Edward Gibson.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. -- 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2014, at Faith Bible Fellowship, 145 Iroquois Road, Oak Ridge, TN. A funeral service will begin at 1:30 p.m., followed by burial at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens, 160 Edgemoor Road, Powell, TN.
The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to Cumberland Springs Bible Camp, Cumberland Springs Road, Dayton, TN 37321.
