James Edward Jeffries, Jr.

James Edward Jeffries, Jr., age 78, of Oak Ridge, went to be with the Lord and his wife on October 1, 2024.

Mr. Jeffries was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, he graduated from Clear Creek Baptist Bible College and was a minister of music at various churches in several states for 40 years. He was a wonderful Poppy.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mary Jeffries and his cat Sophie.

James is survived by his daughters, Shannon (Kenny) Duggan of Oak Ridge, Jeannie (Andrew) Johnson of Saluda, SC, son, Michael Johns of Fort White, FL, grandchildren, James (Miranda) Duggan, William (Donna) Duggan, Tyson, Helen Samuel, Emma Johnson, Lillian Sechrest, Michael Johns, great-grandchildren, Grace (Luke Reno) Gonzales, Darla Duggan, Bentley Howard, Ashton Kelley and Finn Lee Duggan.

There will be a funeral service at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Calvary Baptist Church in Oak Ridge with Dr. Steve McDonald officiating.
