James Edward Coots age 80 of Oak Ridge passed away Sunday September 25, 2016 in Oak Ridge Tennessee. James was born in Sand Mountain, Alabama to Ernest and Marie Coots on May 01, 1936
Mr. Coots was a veteran of the United States Navy and of the Baptist faith also worked as a carpenter for over 35 years until his retirement.
James was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Marie Coots. He is survived by his wife Faye Coots, sisters Shelby Teasley (J.W.) of Harriman, Tennessee, Martha Hutchins of Knoxville, Tennessee Karen Bradley (Leon) of Clinton, Tennessee and Patsy Spore of Belleview, Florida. Brother-in-law and sister- in- law Phyllis Carter, Fred Mason (Mary) Mitch Mason, Pat Harrill (Wayne) Judy Boyd (Bud) and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be Thursday September 29, 2016 starting at 5:00 PM with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM in the chapel of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home.
