Gregory Obituary

Gregory W. Jackson "Greg", age 55, of Oliver Springs went home to be with the Lord Tuesday March 25, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Greg was born September 11, 1958 in Valdosta, Georgia to Leighton and the late Betty Matthews Jackson. He was a 1976 graduate of Charles M. Russell High School in Great Falls, Montana and a 1981 graduate of the University of Tennessee. Greg was a follower of Christ and a faithful member of Heritage Fellowship Church in Oak Ridge where he was instrumental in starting the Band of Brothers men's group. Greg was employed as an insurance agent with American National Insurance Company, enjoyed playing golf and was an avid U.T. fan.
Greg is survived by his loving wife Elaine Waggoner Jackson, daughters Ashley Jackson and Annie Smith and her husband Jason, father Leighton Jackson, brother Jeffery Jackson and his wife Jennifer, grandchildren Emily and Gabriel Smith, several nieces and nephews, sister and brother-in-law Scott and Robyn Johstone, mother-in-law Shirley Waggoner, special friends Rich Dodson, Daryl Lanxon, and Roger Murray.
Funeral service will be held Friday March 28, 2014 8:00pm at Heritage Fellowship Church with Pastor Paul Metler officiating. A graveside service will be held Saturday March 29, 2014 1:00pm at Anderson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service from 6:00 to 8:00pm at the church.
