Geraldine Wakefield

Geraldine Wakefield age 89 of Oak Ridge, Tennessee is in the care of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home, after several years of declining health passed away May 16, 2017 at National Health Care in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
She was born June 18, 1927 in Helena, Arkansas to Joe and Nina Keathley. After moving to Oak Ridge she spent many years working as Cafeteria Manager for Oak Ridge public schools until her retirement in 1993. Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband Loyd Nathan Wakefield and her mother Nina Keathley, and grandson Robin Patrick Wakefield.
She is survived by her sons; Larry Wakefield (Linda) of Oak Ridge, Michael Wakefield (Yolanda) of Las Vegas, Nevada. Daughter; Deborah Glisson (Randy) of Knoxville, Tennessee. Grandchildren; Leslie Wakefield of Oak Ridge, Phillip Wakefield, Chris Cannon (Jen) of Las Vegas, Nevada, Michelle Farr (Spencer) of Meadow Bridge, West Virginia, Lauren Brascum (Gary) of Clinton, Tennessee, Jeremy Glisson of Greenback, Tennessee, and Michelle Hastings of Powell, Tennessee. Great Grandchildren; Brandon Wakefield, Skylar Wakefield, Caitlyn Moore, Courtney Wakefield, Lyric Toler, Kalab Farr, Micah Farr, Jaclynn DeMars , Lucas Branscum, Nathan Glisson and Heather Hastings. The family wishes to thank the staff of National Health Care (NHC) of Oak Ridge for their outstanding care, love and support given to Geraldine during her stay.
Visitation with the family will be from 12 noon until 2:00 pm Saturday May 20, 2017 at Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with a graveside service following at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
