May 8, 1920 — April 15, 2012

Geneva "Fern" Latimer, 91, of Oak Ridge passed away Sunday April 15, 2012. She was born May 8, 1920 in Erwin, Tennessee to Walter and Hattie Ratliff Gouge both now deceased. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church where she served in many capacities especially visiting many ill and homebound members and also those in the hospital for several years. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Johnson City, Tennessee for 50 years. She was employed as a Dietician for the Oak Ridge Hospital.

Besides her parents she was also preceded in death by her two husbands Victor Mills in 1964 and Charles G. Latham in July 1990, daughter Carolyn Sexton and several brothers and sisters.

Her survivors include: son, Tommy Miller and wife Joan of Oak Ridge, daughter, Marilyn Rust and husband Bert of Damascus, Maryland, son in law, David Sexton of Knoxville, Tennessee, sister Estevia Michael of Miami, Florida, grandchildren: Eric Rust, Walter Rust of Damascus, Maryland, Jason Rust, Laurence Rust and wife Heather of San Jose, California, Michael Miller and wife Kristin of Decatur, Georgia, Anna Miller of Camden, Arkansas, Kenneth Miller and wife Christi of Oak Ridge, John Miller of Oak Ridge, great-grandchildren: Gavin and Katherine Rust, San Jose, California, Jake, Ryan and Brady Miller of Decatur, Georgia, BriAnna, Jamie and Dylan White of Camden, Arkansas, Karman, Samantha and Catherine Miller of Oak Ridge.

The Funeral Service is Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at the Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home Chapel at 8 pm. Interment is Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 10 am at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm, Wednesday, prior to the service.
