Frances Obituary

Frances Audrey Kaminski, age 94, passed away on March 5, 2012 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. She was born April 17, 1917, in Michigan, and lived most of her life in the Detroit area before moving to Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Hazel Pastoria, her sisters Lorraine and Sophie, and her beloved husband of 50 years John P. Kaminski.

She is survived by son John P. Kaminski, Jr. and wife Dianna of Kalkaska, Michigan; daughter Betty Robinette and husband Randy of Clinton, Tennessee; granddaughter Kristy Kaminski McDonald and husband Steve McDonald and great grandchildren Harper 7, Sophia 4, and Ian 2 of Elk Rapids, Michigan; grandson James H. Robinette and wife Valerie and great grandchildren Brody 17, and Alec 13 of Pasadena, Maryland; grandson Wade Robinette of Clarksville, TN; step-granddaughter Carrie Pettersen and husband Uriah Pettersen and great grandchildren Parker 6, and Asher 4 of Traverse City, Michigan; and step-granddaughter Jenni Needham and her husband Doug of Dimondale, Michigan and great grandchildren Brad 13, and Greg 11.

She loved collecting Christmas decorations, gardening, her home, her family, and her dog Cricket. She attended St Mary's Catholic Church in Oak Ridge.

A special thank you is extended to the many wonderful people who helped her through her final illnesses at Morning Pointe Assisted Living in Clinton, at Methodist Medical Center including Covenant Hospice, and at Briarcliff Rehabilitation Center. A special thank you also is extended to Dr. Daniel LeNoir and his staff at the Family Clinic of Oak Ridge for their exemplary medical care over the years.

A memorial celebrating her life will follow at a later date in Michigan.
