Edith Lucille Williams Freeman, age 87 of Knoxville passed away Friday February 21, 2014 at Parkwest Medical Center.
Edith was born October 22, 1926 in McMinn County. She was a resident of Brakebill Nursing Home in Knoxville. She enjoyed growing flowers, watching her hummingbirds, cooking, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and loved her dog Tiny.
Preceded in death by her husband Easley Freeman in 1993 Edith is survived by two sons Chris Freeman and his wife Carole of Knoxville, and Kenneth Freeman of Oakdale, two sisters Marie Miller of Etowah, and Julia Freeman of Athens, grandchildren Missy, Libby, Debbie, Lisa, Christina, and Denise, numerous great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Edith will be held Wednesday February 26, 2014 2:00pm in the chapel of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with Pastor Eric Rieger officiating with interment following at Anderson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00pm at the funeral home.
