Donald Ray Kelsheimer, age 77, of Oak Ridge passed away Tuesday May 24, 2011 at his home.
Donald was born October 31, 1933 in Mecca, IN to the late Charles and Bessie Richardson Kelsheimer. He moved to Oak Ridge in 1957 and had worked as a Stack Sampler at K-25until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of West Village Christian Church, the Jaycees and enjoyed working with the Boy Scouts and the Holiday Bureau. Donald is preceded in death by his wife Nancy Hall Kelsheimer, brothers; Homer and Harry Eugene, sisters; Francis, Faye, and Irene he is survives by his son Timothy Kelsheimer and his wife Kathy Jo, daughter Sondra Hannis, brother Robert Kelsheimer and his wife Mary, sister Thelma Gail McGuire, grandchildren Elizabeth Jackson and her husband James, Rachael Hannis, and Jessica Flannery, and great grandchildren Andrew Gage Munyon and James Jackson, Jr.
A memorial service will be held Friday May 27, 2011 7:00pm at the West Village Christian Church with Pastor Bruce Martin officiating. The family will receive friends before the service from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be sent to the West Village Christian Church 673 Robertsville Rd. Oak Ridge, TN 37830 or to the Holiday Bureau 728 B Emory Valley Rd. Oak Ridge, TN 37830.
