On October 21, 2016, Don McAlister, sometimes known as dad, Paw-Paw, Mac, or Coach, left this earth to begin the next step in his life's journey. Even though friends and family are heartbroken, we know he is smiling down. He is no longer in pain, his eyesight is perfect and he is finally with his true love Norma, his son Chris, his parents, and brother and sister, and many others that preceded him in death. A celebration and gathering for those who loved him will be 3PM till 6PM Sunday, October 30, 2016, at Calhouns, 100 Melton Lake Peninsula, Oak Ridge, 37830. In lieu of flowers, please take your family out to eat and cherish the bonds you have. Please dress casual and bring your smiles and fond memories to share as that is how he would want to be remembered.
