Dolores K. Foster, age 84, of Hermitage, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014.
Prior to moving to Hermitage, Dolores and her beloved husband, Bob A. Foster, who survives, resided in Crossville and Nashville, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Christopher Robinson, and other treasured family members.
She is survived by one sister, Donas Hardin of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; daughters, Linda Kuhlman of Coral Springs, Florida and Beverly McCauley of Nashville, Tennessee; one son, Larry Robinson of Atlanta, Georgia; granddaughter, Katherine McMann of Denver, Colorado; three grandsons, Jason Sanders of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, David Kuhlman of Coral Springs, Florida, Everett Putnam of Nashville, Tennessee, and two great granddaughters.
Dolores began her career as a stenographer with the FBI in Washington, D.C. After a move to Nashville, she became a legal secretary with a well-known law firm where she was employed for many years. She was an active member of the National Association of Legal Professionals (NALS), where she served in several elected and appointed offices on the local, state and national levels. She furthered her education by attaining the certification of PLS (Professional Legal Secretary), and encouraged others employed in law office support positions to do likewise. Her knowledge and expertise in parliamentary procedure prepared her for years of service to her local and state associations, and she was appointed and served as national parliamentarian for NALS in 1984-85. This service to her professional Association required attendance at meetings in many cities and states across the Country, and she was respected and loved by members throughout the organization. Her love for her family was well-known by all who knew her, as she loved sharing their success stories with her professional friends in NALS. Dolores retired several years ago from the legal department of Nashville Electric Service.
The family is especially appreciative of the service and care provided by Provision Living during her recent illness.
A memorial service celebrating her life with be held at Provision Living, 4131 Andrew Jackson Parkway, Hermitage, Tennessee 37076, on Saturday, July 12, 2014, at 10 a.m.
