Danny Charles Williams, Sr., age 66 of Oak Ridge passed away Monday, February 10, 2014 at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Danny was born May 26, 1947 in Knoxville, TN, the son of Charles Ralph and Mary Louise Williams. He was employed for many years at K-25 in Oak Ridge and later by Cornerstone of Recovery in Louisville, TN. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors, and had a soft spot for many family pets over the years.
Danny is preceded in death by his father, C. R. Williams, and is survived by his wife of 49 years Carolyn Lyndon Williams of Oak Ridge, his mother Mary Louise Williams of Oak Ridge, two sons, Danny "Chuck" Williams Jr., of Oak Ridge and John Williams and his wife Cinnamon of Oak Ridge, one sister Sonya Morgan of Murfreesboro, TN, three grandchildren, Melanie Williams, Lynn Williams, and Gunnar Williams, four brothers-in-law, Bill Lyndon and his wife Nancy of Sheffield, AL, Ronnie Lyndon and his wife Glenda of Florence, AL, and Jerry Lyndon of Florence, AL, and John Lyndon and his wife Ann of Florence, AL, and special friends Wanda Green, Mary K Lacy, and Phyllis DeLay.
A Celebration of Danny's Life will be held Friday, February 14, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial gifts to be made to the Bill, Andy, and Polly Fund c/o Cornerstone of Recovery, 1214 Topside Road, Louisville, TN 37777.
