USA PRESIDENTIAL CANIDATE; ENGINEER
Daniel M. Axelrod, a resident of Oak Ridge, KORIV, TN died on January 27, 2018 at National Health Care in Oak Ridge, TN. He was 79 years ; born 14 December 1938 in Brooklyn, NY.
He graduated from CCNY ( City College of New York ) 1960 as a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering and from ORSORT ( Oak Ridge School of /Nuclear/Reactor Technology,) ORNL, 1961 with a Certificate (=Master+) of Nuclear Engineering.
Professionally: For 20 years he worked professionally as an engineer,and became a P.E. , Professional Engineer (Nuclear). He served as an officer in the US Army Engineer Corps. He worked for US Atomic Energy Commission (OROO and NYOO); Public Service Electric and Gas Company; Exxon Engineering; United Engineers and Constructors; and Foster Wheeler Energy. He served as acting secretary to USA electric utility industry R&D Goals Task Force, which in 1971 recommended formation of EPRI-Electric Power Research Institute.
Politically; He became a USA Presidential Candidate-Constructive Action Party August 08/2/80, based on an Act of Divine Guidance. He served in that capacity 1980-2008, except 2001-2. From 1985-2005 he wrote over 50,000 pages, mostly as letters to his chief-of-staff P16Ax Colonel Bernstein in Washington D.C. His political books included "An Informed Citizenry and Individual Responsibility: The Strength of American Democracy," 4/23/67, and "2004 USA Presidential Candidate Campaign Letters", 11/04. His full page advertisement in the "Oak Ridger"30 May 2004, was a minibook. He had over 100 persona.
Piously: He wrote "Essence of Judaism," 1978, and "T (E):T/I Torah (Extracts): Translations/ Interpretations", 1994 He created the new world religion 08 DUET. He enjoyed creating DUETS (in 4, 8, and 16 line style), observations about life and ideas.
Educationally: he proposed several new colleges, including Oak Ridge 3&4 year Federal R&D College, USDODenfense/ USDoPeace Graduate School of Religion, and SEC TARC ( SouthEast Conus Tribal Area Rabbinic College. He proposed several new Masters Degrees, including MEMA: Master of Emergency Management Administration.
He is survived by his first wife Sylvia G. Axelrod of New Jersey, two sons, David A. Axelrod of New Jersey and Scott E. Axelrod of New York and Scott's wife Denise and their two children Alana and Dara. He was preceded in death by his second wife of five years, Jean Christen Axelrod of Oak Ridge.
