February 19, 1920 — December 16, 2011

Cora Scleanor Cole, age 91, went home to be with the Lord on Friday December 16, 2011 At Methodist Medical Center.
Cora was born February 13, 1920 in Luka, Mississippi to the late Harry and Ida Mae Maxwell Crouse. Cora belonged to Highland View Church of Christ. Her church was her life and she was there every time the doors were open. She worked in the fountain at Jefferson Drug Store for many years always helping others Cora never met a stranger. Cora loved her family very much and was also a member of the Eastern Star.
Preceded in death by her husband James A. Cole and two sons Ralph D. Cole and James H. Cole Cora is survived by her daughter Ruth Hill and her husband Bobby of Alabama, special daughter-in-law and caregiver Earlene Cole of Oak Ridge, brother James Crouse of Alabama, two sisters Vader Dean St. John of Alabama, and Lucille Crouse of Nashville, grandchildren Debbie Tulloss of Ohio, Bobby Hill, Jr. of Alabama, Donna Johns of Florida, Doug Hill of Alabama, Brandon Cole of Tennessee, Tami Nailon of Tennessee, James H. Cole, Jr. of Tennessee, Kathy Sopher of Tennessee, Angela Coin of Tennessee, and Curtis Morgan of Texas, many great grandchildren as well as many great great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Monday December 19, 2011 7:00pm at Highland View Church of Christ with Rev. Curtis McClane. The family will receive friends before the service from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the church. A graveside service will be held Tuesday December 20, 2011 9:00am at Anderson Memorial Gardens.
