Charlotte Jordan

Charlotte Nail Jordan age 95 is in the care of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home. Charlotte passed away Saturday August 31, 2019 at National Health Care of Oak Ridge. She was born in Eclectic , Alabama November 17, 1923 the daughter of James Talmage and Rilla Dennis Nail. She had lived in the Oak Ridge area since 1944 with her husband and family. Mrs. Jordan worked for Oak Ridge School system in administration as a secretary, also at Y-12 facility as a secretary until retirement. Mrs. Jordan was a member of First United METHODIST Church and was an avid gardener and enjoyed her flowers. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death her husband A.C. Curt Jordan, sisters, Kathlyn Webster, LaNelle Holt and Mary Crew, two brothers Billy Nail and James T. Nail Jr. daughter, Charlotte (Scarlett) Collins and twin granddaughters Lisa and Laura Davis. She is survived by her son, Michael C. Jordan (Lorene) of Oak Ridge, one daughter Cheryl Davis (Ron) of Charleston, Tennessee, sisters, Julie Powell, Johnnie McCune and Jerry Powell five grandchildren Kimberly Townsend of Benton, Tennessee, Kyle Rogers of Atlanta, Georgia, Curt Davis of Hutchinson, Kansas, Michael Davis of Knoxville, Tennessee and Michelle Gamble of Knoxville, Tennessee. Great grandchildren, Brianna and Abigail Bentley, Riley and Cammie Davis, Seth and Lily Gamble; as well as many extended family members and friends. The Family will receive friends from 11 am until 1 pm Monday September 09, 2019 at Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with a funeral service at 1 pm with Rev. Dave Whaley officiating. A graveside service will follow the funeral service at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
