Chad Everett Branton

March 23, 1973 — March 7, 2025

Knoxville

Chad Everett Branton, 51 years of Knoxville, TN entered into his heavenly home with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on the seventh day of March 2025. Chad was born in Kingsport, TN and earned his master’s degree in software engineering at East Tennessee State University. Outside of his career, Chad enjoyed spending quality time with his friends and family. He was a man of adventure, enjoying camping across the U.S., hiking, and geocaching. His favorite destinations were in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and on the white sands of Destin, Florida listening to Bob Marley. He was a loyal fan of the Tennessee Volunteers which led to Knoxville, TN becoming his lifelong home. He met his beautiful wife in Hoover, AL where he created his second home with his stepdaughter and his sweet dog, Frisco. Chad was a man of love and empathy and cherished the people around him. There was never a moment when he was not mentioning his daughter, sons, and the memories he created with his friends and loved ones. His soul and presence will be greatly missed, and we will one day meet him again.

Chad is preceded in death by his sweet mother, Sheila Branton who he cherished deeply. He is survived by his loving wife, Grace Branton of Calera, AL; his father Edward Branton of Griffin, GA; his oldest son Luke Branton and wife Jessica of McDonough, GA, his second son Jackson Branton of McDonough, GA, his youngest daughter Chloe Branton of Knoxville, TN, and his step-daughter Emily Findley of Thorsby, AL; his sisters Karen Simion and husband Stefan of Chicago, IL and Rachel Tidwell and husband Russ of Locust Grove, GA; and four sweet grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and loved ones at 1:00 pm with the memorial service following at 2:00pm on March 15th, 2025 at Mott-McKamey Funeral Home and Cremations in Oak Ridge, TN. This service will not be open casket due to cremation. This symbolizes his love for travel and being free.
