Brenda Joyce Davis

January 30, 1947 — December 13, 2024

Oak Ridge

In loving memory of Brenda Joyce Davis:

Wife, Mother, Sister, and Friend

Brenda Davis, a radiant light to everyone she met, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2024 surrounded by her loving husband and son. She leaves a testament of love, generosity, kindness, humor, and care to those she leaves behind.

Born on January 30, 1947, Brenda lived her life with an open heart and open arms to children and people in need. She was the kind of person who put others before her own needs. She offered words of advice and encouragement.

Her kindness was matched only by her playful spirit. Brenda had a knack for bringing joy to every room. Her laugh was contagious, her humor spirited, and her inner beauty radiated selflessness. She was the kind of person always looking for the next joke to bring light into the lives she touched. Her life is a powerful reminder to cherish those around us and to love with boundless generosity and grace.

Brenda’s generosity touched countless lives, extending far beyond her own family. For over 25 years, she served as one of the Nursery Director at Calvary Baptist Church in Oak Ridge, nurturing and caring for children with unwavering love and dedication. Her passion for life shone through in her simple joys, like tending to her garden barefoot, where she found peace. Brenda’s selfless spirit and caring nature were a blessing to everyone she encountered, whether through her church, her community, or the countless children she guided and cherished over the years. To Brenda, life was about making it better for those she cared about. She believed in making the world brighter for those around her.

Brenda leaves behind her childhood sweetheart and husband, Larry Davis of fifty-nine years, her son, Troy Davis (wife Lindsey), her siblings Darrell Chrisman, Butch Chrisman (wife Rose), Marsha Chrisman, granddaughter Cadence Davis, bonus son Patrick Futrell (wife Danita), and countless friends and loved ones who were fortunate enough to know her.

While our hearts ache with the loss of such a remarkable woman, we find comfort in the memories and lessons she left with us. To live with love, to live with kindness, to live with humor, and to live in the beauty of God’s creations. Brenda may have left this Earth, but her light shines through the hearts she has left behind and her memory will be everlasting.
