Betty Eastin

Betty Jean Fritts Eastin age 95 is in the care of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home.
Betty passed away April 08, 2018 at National Health care in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
She was born January 25, 1923 in Gatliff, Kentucky to Bose Fritts and Cledah McCardy
Fritts. Betty obtained her education at Cumberland University and enjoyed many years
as an elementary school teacher at Park View Elementary where she retired in 1982. A
longtime member of Grace Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee where she was a
member of the church choir. Other than her love for teaching and the choir she also
enjoyed Dulcimer music. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; Bose and Cledah Fritts
and her husband; Christopher C. Eastin She is survived by her daughters; Elizabeth Eastin
of Clinton, Tennessee, Ava lamb of Kaila Kona, Hawaii and Christa Newey of Oak Ridge,
Tennessee. Grandchildren; Brad Lamb, Dr. Amy Reed and Carl Newey, and numerous nieces
and nephews. Visitation with the family will be Sunday April 15, 2018 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm
at martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Martin
Oak Ridge Funeral Home. Interment will be at 11:00 am April 16, 2018 at Woodhaven Memorial
Gardens in Powell, Tennessee. Services entrusted to Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home
