Betty Brewster

Betty Jean Brewster after her long fight with Alzheimers, succumbed to the disease on Sunday September 18th. She was 88 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Brewster; brothers Jack Crigger and Don Crigger. She is survived by her sisters, Maxine Sinnett and Libby McGrill of Gainsville Florida. Her children, Brad Brewster of Qak Ridge, Tennessee and Karen Brewster of Burke Virginia; Grand Children, Julia Feil of Burke Virginia, Amber Brewster and Aaron Brewster of Oak Ridge, Tennessee; Great Grand Children Eathen Feil, Claire Feil, Andraya Brewster-Galloway, Ayden Hill and Azlynn Brewster. Her youngest grand baby had troouble pronouncing Granny Bet. The best he could do was BeBet. Ever since she was always known as BeBet to all her family and close friends.

Betty was a 1947 graduate of Oak Ridge High Scool. She stayed in Oak Ridge and met her late Husband, Carl Brewster shortly after. They remained togeather til his passing in 1988. She worked at ORAU overseeing student Aid programs util her retirement. She was an excellent seamstress and made a lot of her own clothes as well as those for her family. In addition, she was interested in most crafts like needlepoint, rug making and crochet.

Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home, 1017 Turnpike,Oak Ridge, Tenn 37830 are handling all arraingements. Recieving of friends is Friday Sept 22nd from 5:00 to 7:00pm. Followed by a brief Service.
