Barbara Hagan

April 15, 1936 — August 13, 2020

Barbara Marie (Houston) Hagan finished her course here on earth and went to her eternal home on August 13, 2020.

Barbara was born to (John) Amos and Mary (McKelvey) Houston on April 15, 1936 in Monroe county Tennessee. She moved to Oak Ridge as a young girl after the death of her father. Here she met the love of her life, (Ray Edward) Ed Hagan. They were married on August 8, 1953.

Barbara was retired from the Oak Ridge School Systems where she served as a cafeteria manager. She loved all the children that she came in contact with and made sure all of them were fed regardless of their ability to pay. She enjoyed gardening and bird watching. she especially loved bird-watching. She loved vacationing with her grandchildren and her sister Shirley.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents (John) Amos and Mary (McKelvey) Houston, brother Junior and sister Wanda. Loving husband (Ray Edward) Ed Hagan and a son Dale Hagan.

She is survived by two sons and a daughter, Ray (Janice) Hagan, Mark (Thelma) Hagan; daughter Sandy (Greg) Smith. She was blessed with four grandchildren Nick Hagan, Kris Hagan (Leslie) Hagan, Sierra Balsley (Julian Sumlar) and Bradley Balsley, Three great grandchildren the held a special place in her herat and she sherished every minute with them. Madeleine, Wyatt Hagan and Reese Sumlar.

Her survivng brothers and sisters are Joe Houston, Sam (Sandra) Houston, Shirley Inabinet and Patsy Byrd.
She is also survived by a special niece that she dearly loved, Lisa (Houston) Hensley.

Visitation for Barbara Hagan will be held Sunday August 16, 20202 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Covenant Life Church, 151 Sycamore Pl, Clinton, TN 37716. Graveside service and interment will be at Oak Ridge Memorial Park 1501 Bethel Valley Rd, Oak Ridge, TN 37830, on Monday August 17, 2020 at 10:00 am.
